Please note that a leak has been identified on the pipeline to DV Harris WTP. The plant had to be shut down around 6am to effect emergency repairs.
We anticipate that repairs will take approximately 24 hours to complete. DVH WTP will be offline during this time as this is the pipeline supplying raw water to the plant.
The areas supplied by the following reservoirs may be affected: Belfort, Clarendon, Table Mountain, Wartburg, Dalton, Efaye, Ozwatini and Montebello.
There will be a reduction of about 26Ml/d to Umlaas Rd Reservoir supplying Ethekwini from the 53 Pipeline. The normal volume supplied from Midmar WTP to Umlaas Road will not be affected.
