Media and Public Notice: Possible Disruption of Water Supply

As a result of the electrical storm last night the 27th of March in the Pietermaritzburg and surrounding areas the following pump stations were struck by lightning: Mill Falls Pumpstation, Groenekloof Pumpstation and Mpolweni Pumpstation.
These pumpstations supply the areas of Howick, Howick West, Mpophomeni, Hilton, Vulindlela, Mshwathi, Montebello and Ozwatini. The maintenance team is working on the electrical equipment at the various pumpstations and are yet to determine the time frames to get the pumpstations running.
